Every time I see a big forum post on this website I notice one very prominent thing. There is always someone on there to say that DA2 sucked. While I quite liked DA2 I understand the people who didn't are very vocal about the fact they don't like it. Now after all this abuse the game has gotten, I feel we should give it a break and only say nice things about it (Its been over a year guys). Just for one day. Here is what I propose, on the 24th of July all our posts DA2 related are actually positive. Here are some suggestions:

The Warden is much better than Hawke Changes to: Hawke is a fascinating character and has a great choice in facial hair.

I hate Anders/Fenris - Fenris and Anders are both characters with different opinions and beliefs and I'd love to take them out to a seafood dinner sometime.

I really want to kill Anders - I'd like to cuddle up to Anders by the fire watching episodes of former hit TV medical comedy Scrubs.

Those are just a few minor suggestions for forum topics/subjects. While I know the subject matter is ridiculous, I make this post out of pity for the developers of DA2, they make this game that despite having much less time would have been still very tiring. But instead of a simple 'could have been better' they get viciously insulted by their once loyal fans. Be nice to DA2 on July 24th guys. Because as much as you might dislike it, its still better than syphilis. --TheRageMage (talk) 07:45, July 22, 2012 (UTC)TheRageMage

Things like "I got lost only a few times thanks to the endless reusing of areas"? 124.49.122.136 (talk) 08:25, July 22, 2012 (UTC)

Hmmmmmm... Well, my DA2 disc contains very few scratches. And it did come in a very nice box. DA2 is better than the Atari 2600 E.T. game, and you're right, it really is far superior to syphilis.
I can think of a some honest answers: I like the crafting resource system in DA2 (no time wasted travelling to multiple vendors for supplies). I like the home & its conveniences. There were some positive interface changes (ie. sell all junk / take all buttons), and the tooltips were more informative / item properties less vague. Eganogard (talk) 09:10, July 22, 2012 (UTC)

I like a lot of things about DA2. It has many very good ideas, sadly it also has terrible implementation just as often. But nice things right? I liked that characters really did seem to have a life outside yours. Except Merrill, but that was intentional. I also liked that there were a great many weapon models on offer.--175.39.56.192 (talk) 11:56, July 22, 2012 (UTC)

I personally liked a lot of companions from DA2, just not as my companions. Each would have made a rather interesting main character in a novel, where you can actually see the inner dynamics, rather than a game. DAO's companions worked well because each represented a rather extreme end of the spectrum (super-good or super-bad); the only exception is probably Zevran, but even he was in the extreme of "I have no morals and I have no pants to lose".

DA2 was different in the aspect. Each was less extreme; you can't call Fenris a total bastard and Aveline isn't a total goody-goody. They're more humane, with moments of kindness and moments of cruelty, and I wish I could have seen a little more of their emotional turmoil. I sort of wish I could have done a day in life of Anders, or a side-quest where I'm Fenris for a day. It would have given me much more perspective. -Gabriellesig 13:36, July 22, 2012 (UTC)

I would be satisfied only, if there was a mod which makes all boring side quests with no decisions or plot impacts complete like finding owner of found object or killing those night gangs in Dock Lowtown and Hightown.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.41.69.151 (talk)

This is an awsm idea!! I know that it's a little early, but who cares right? I found the combat (on the whole) to be enjoyable. I really liked the change in skill trees, the crafting mechanic and the fact that a mod exists which replaces your marbari summon with anything you want (I chose a dragon- it even flies in when you cast and flies away when you unsummon outside of combat!). I also enjoyed the phase oriented boss battles and the fact that rogues and warriors can be powerful characters too instead of mages taking the cake (seriously, a well spec'ed mage pc would LASH any rogue/warrior build in DA:O). I also enjoyed the more extensive use of humour and the fact that I got to import my choices over from origins. I thought it was cool that the game remembered my responses in the dialogue wheel and my characters dialogue changed a little. Wow... who would've known that I too am a DA2 moaner?! So boys and girls, what will your 'DA2 Day' posts be? --TheRageMage (talk) 14:26, July 23, 2012 (UTC)TheRageMage

I like Isabela. Oh and Anders blowing up the chantry, that's the best part of DA2. 203.45.127.20 (talk) 01:05, July 24, 2012 (UTC)Darkside

Merrill. -Algol- (talk) 01:24, July 24, 2012 (UTC)

I'm tempted to pick her too, but I think my favourite thing about DAII was the skill trees, instead of the linear paths of DA:O. Though I liked plenty about DAII, that's my #1. RomeoReject (talk) 04:37, July 24, 2012 (UTC)
I strongly agree -- the skill trees were nice, and I'd hoped to see something similar in Mass Effect 3. I also liked the cross-class combo system, because it added more depth to combat, and the longer, more detailed tactics lists. Diyartifact (talk) 06:05, July 24, 2012 (UTC)

I forgot about the cross class combinations!! Those gave me a reason to mix up my party members :) I also liked the initial "Varric exaggerated combat" scene where you get to preview the potential combat of your character class. Was a really nice touch! Not to mention that Bethany is ridiculously well endowed in this scene :P -Ccg08 (talk) 07:13, July 24, 2012 (UTC)

Sarcasm don't work on me. I don't have to be nice because I like DA II as much I like DA:O. It's differend than Origins and I like it. When I don't feel like playing Origins I could switch to DA II. That's refreshing I never get bored switching between the two games. --188.67.35.43 (talk) 10:25, July 24, 2012 (UTC)Jak Darckner

I enjoyed the concept of travelling around in a city. That was something that DAO lacked. Viktoria Landers 10:51, July 24, 2012 (UTC)

What I liked in DA2 was family warmth, Bethany was so beloved little sister. I also saw more emotions in characters' faces than in DAO. Still there are things I bother like nothing shows, how much of sarcasm, brutality or kindness I used, because there are situations I'd like to be more diplomatic or brutal than I can. Because lieutenants and bosses have red names I can differ them, health length doesn't say much to me. Most of side quests are so boring than I'd like to be a mod, which makes them all complete - like night gangs, searching for owners of found objects.

The battle system in DA2 is way more responsive. --Elshiro (talk) 22:23, July 24, 2012 (UTC)

I liked the mage class it was awesome to bring death with style. 203.45.127.20 (talk) 02:04, July 25, 2012 (UTC)Darkside

I liked the animation a character will do if the attack button is used without a target. I liked that as a console gamer I was able to direct the movement of party members without taking direct control. I liked how expressive most faces were and that hair moved. I liked how I could use my dog without using up a party space for somebody who can talk. I liked Fade's Fury, seriously I love that weapon more than Edge of Song and Glory and I am obsessed with making a character look like the DAO trailer Warden. I liked Varric. --Knight Templar (talk) 02:36, July 25, 2012 (UTC)

I thought the character models and general appearane of DA2 much better than DA:O. Gameplay wise it is also superior. Rathian Warrior (talk) 04:09, July 25, 2012 (UTC)

I'll say I'm one who was actually quite fond of DA2. Hell, if I never played DA2 and liked it so much then I would've never played Origins and found out what an amazing game it was, let alone Awakening. I can definitely give it that much. Marauder 09 FoC cover I can make the Black Sun look like a Swoop Gang. 04:14, July 25, 2012 (UTC)

A small detail, but I like the auto-locking quickbar in DA2. I'm always forgetting to lock it in DA:O and losing a button at inopportune moments.

I don't need to be urged to be nice to DA2, I absolutely loved it! I loved it because it made me care about the characters. In one playthrough at the end of Act II as Hawke is fighting towards the Citadel he rescued the Grey Wardens. They leave taking Bethany. His brother is dead, his mother murdered, his lover (Isabela) has abandoned him. He watches the wardens go leaving him stripped of family and lovers, alone to face the chaos.....how can you not be moved. In essence all niggles are minor compared with the achievement of the characterisation. 80.40.144.68 (talk) 10:44, July 26, 2012 (UTC)
