What a crackpot theory I have here, and it's going to sound so cheesy, but it's been plaguing my mind. But some have suggested that Andraste has a link to the Inquisitor as a result of the breach occurring where the sacred ashes were (the temple). Here's my theory, and it's certainly a falsifiable one, but what if the Ashes had the remnants of a spirit or demon that had possessed Andraste?

Maybe that's how he/she comes back? The Inquisitor is described as walking out of the fade or something? Most likely a metaphor, but what if that's how we're given a second chance, and throughout the game we had no idea that we were possessed whatsoever, albeit having a few dreams and what not. Other than that, I don't think it's Andraste herself that would possess the Inquisitor, but even if the temple is destroyed by the high dragon, and even if you defile it, perhaps the spirit that had originally possessed her is still lurking around, or is in dormant there (or slumber).

This is a really, really audacious and longshot theory, that is highly unlikely, but I like the possibility of their being a link between the two, so what other ways, if any, could their be a link. And why did it occur where it did? Yes they're having a meeting to negotiate peace, but could there be an added incentive as to why it occurred there? Lazare326 12:37, June 23, 2014 (UTC)

I have no idea how she would link the Inquisiton, but at least I gotta say that I think we could see the bigger picture of the story of Dragon Age, kinda like ME3 explaining the creation of reaper and leviathan. to do that, it certainly would include Andraste, what she is, who she is, the Maker, arcdemon, etc.--Iddawiki (talk) 13:00, June 23, 2014 (UTC)
