Visit Gamlen is an Act 3 secondary quest in Dragon Age II.
During this quest Hawke checks up on Gamlen.

This quest becomes available at the beginning of Act 3.
Walkthrough[]
Travel to Gamlen's House in Lowtown and speak with him. He will briefly (and awkwardly) state that he and Hawke are all each other have left, and that Leandra would be proud of what Hawke has accomplished.
