Eddelbrek is an important lord of the Amaranthine area; he is the master of the Feravel Plains and the largest farm-holder in Amaranthine—making him one of the two most important nobles in the Arling.

Background[]

He is outspoken and popular, and is not one to stand on ceremony, habitually speaking up about threats to the farmers with no care for what city nobles think of him.

Eddelbrek is not too fond of the former Arl of Amaranthine, Rendon Howe. He is present during the ceremony of Oaths of Fealty, standing next to Ser Timothy. Eddelbrek is also a good friend of Teyrn Bryce Cousland, who always spoke quite highly of him.

Involvement[]

Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening.

He is first encountered during the quest Oaths of Fealty. Varel says you must speak to him and Bann Esmerelle. Both of them compete for the assistance of the Commander's troops; Esmerelle wants the soldiers to defend the city, and Eddelbrek wants patrols on the unprotected farmlands. Speaking to him begins the quest Defending the Land.

If the Warden-Commander is of Human Noble Origin, Lord Eddelbrek will be impressed that the young Cousland remembered him, and swears that he played no part in Howe's treachery against the Cousland family.
