Case: The Uprising is a limited pinned action card in Dragon Age: The Last Court. It is continued from the action card The Uprising and contributes to unlocking A Tangled Web.

Description[]

The glassworkers' occupation of the Bridge of Masks is ended, but the question of who led them remains. Some say it was the Elusive Iconoclast, prophet of the revolution. Others that it was a glassworker with a grudge against the Smiling Guildmistress - an ex-lover.

You'll need to investigate the truth, and when you have enough evidence decide what punishment - if any - is to be levied against the glassworkers.

Available actions[]

1.

Investigate in more depth
Some of them must have known who the ringleader was.
(Uses 1 action)

Result: A trail of breadcrumbs
Finally you find one of the guild - embittered by their ringleader's decision - who is willing to talk.
The instigator was a soda ash factor who made frequent visits to the guild. She claimed to have been a glassworker herself at one time, who fled the factory and now wanted to give others the same chance.
The Smiling Guildmistress, though, can find no records of such a person, and notes that the merchant had made her first appearance recently...
+1 Secret, -30 Clues, unlocks Investigate the merchant of soda ash

2.

Investigate the merchant of soda ash
Soda ash is vital to the glassworking trade - it is the best flux they use to draw forth the impurities. But this is not a name you know. Who is she?
(Uses 1 action)

Result: The plot thickens
Whoever she is, she's not what she claimed. In the course of investigating her activities you come across half a dozen different names that she used.
She would meet soda ash merchants on the river outside the town and buy their wares from them at a rate ruinously higher than she was selling it for.
Whoever she might have been, someone else was financing her activities.
You've earnt all the Secrets you can from this - the trail is cold. You can now decide what to do with the glassworkers.

3.

Censure the glassworkers
Though the instigator of the uprising eludes you, you still have to decide what to do about the glassworkers.
(Uses 1 action)

Result: A firm hand
A firm hand will dissuade them from future trouble. You forbid them from congregating in groups of more than three and curtail their visits into the town. Messages in and out of the guild are read carefully.
Though their ringleader has disappeared, you have managed to assemble a description of her: a fair-skinned woman with red hair and only nine fingers. You circulate it among your agents - you're certain she'll make another appearance.

Result: A gentle hand
If they continue to chafe under their duties, you will see more outbreaks, not less. There are no repercussions for the glassworkers. Better that the affair is forgotten.
