Cailan's Shield is a kite shield in Dragon Age: Origins. It requires the Return to Ostagar DLC. Part of the Cailan's Arms set, this is the shield of King Cailan, commander of the forces at Ostagar, where he was slain by the darkspawn.

Acquisition

It is dropped by the Hurlock Vanguard, the second darkspawn commander encountered in the Return to Ostagar mission.

Trivia

• Oddly enough, King Cailan never used this shield, as he uses a greatsword at the battle of Ostagar, and when you see him the greatsword is on his back.

Bug

• Sometimes the shield is invisible when equipped.
