- The cooldown for Bodyguard begins as soon as the ability is cast even while it is active. This means, without cooldown reduction, there is only a 9 second downtime between successive uses of Bodyguard.
- Damage transferred to the caster of Bodyguard does not trigger certain abilities such as Warrior's Resolve
- Damage to party members is not transferred if the effect applies damage over time.
