Back Alley is a location in the Lowtown of Kirkwall.

Involvement

This location can only be accessed if during Friends in Low Places quest in Act 1, Hawke accepted Dougal Gavorn's offer to fund their participation in The Deep Roads Expedition and in the beginning of Act 2 Hawke refused to pay an extra 100 to the dwarf as part of Profit and Loss quest.

Dougal would then vow to take his money the hard way and will ambush Hawke and their party in the Back Alley while traveling around Kirkwall. Dougal cannot be talked out of it and will mention to his men that he wants to be in the Hawke Estate within the hour, after killing Hawke first of course.
