The Forest Clearing is a random encounter when traveling to or from the Brecilian Outskirts (especially from Denerim). The Warden is ambushed by a group of Werewolves, regardless of the outcome of the Nature of the Beast questline.

- If the hold position command is initiated when the encounter begins, the werewolf alpha will typically not attack with the rest of the werewolves as a tree is blocking its line of sight.
- There is an interactive campfire in this zone, but it appears to do nothing.
