Alessa is a human who lives in Kirkwall.
Involvement[]
Alessa is involved in the quest Prime Suspect. When Hawke goes to the DuPuis estate to investigate Gascard DuPuis' connection to Kirkwall's missing women, they find him with Alessa, who is kneeling on the ground and in distress. Gascard claims to be innocent of the murders. He says that he is in fact hunting the true killer, who murdered his sister several years ago, and that he only took Alessa to protect her, as she was to be the killer's next victim. When Alessa says that Gascard hurt her, he explains that he only took her blood so he could track her with blood magic should she be abducted. She doesn't believe him and runs out of the estate, fleeing for her life. Gascard is concerned that she will link him to the murders.
Later, during the quest All That Remains, Hawke finds Alessa's body in Quentin's hideout in the basement under the foundry in Lowtown, her hair mysteriously bleached. Like the other missing and murdered women, Alessa's body has been used in a ritual to recreate Quentin's dead wife. When Hawke finally confronts Quentin, they must also destroy Alessa's possessed desire demon form.
