Exotic Methods is a side quest acquired in the far left bottom room of the Royal Palace in Orzammar, the very room which was formerly used by King Endrin's middle child. Lady Brodens has been poisoned and an antidote must be found. To finish this quest, a party member must be a master herbalist.
Speak to Herbalist Widron to acquire the quest. Once it is accepted, enter the herbalism screen to craft a potion.
To craft Dwarven Regicide Antidote you must be a master herbalist and possess the following ingredients:x4 Elfroot
The common name for canavaris, this herb actually has little to do with elves other than being commonly collected and traded to outsiders by the Dalish. It is the primary ingredient in many healing salves.
Use: Chewing elfroot restores a small amount of health, and those with skill can use elfroot to make more potent elixirs. x2 Lifestone
These rare rocks have existed in close proximity to lyrium ore, and as such, they have absorbed some of its traits. Lifestones enhance the natural properties of other materials used in item creation.
These simple glass containers are able to hold many compounds, even unstable ones.
x2 Concentrator Agent
Heatherum and Foxite are both common herbs in Ferelden. When distilled to be sufficient purity, they may be used as herbal agents to concentrate the effects of many potions, salves, and poisons.
- 150 XP

- pcThe recipe for the antidote may not appear in the crafting screen, despite having Master Herbalism. Use of Console commands can solve this issue.
- pcIf you finished the Main Orzammar Quest line before finishing this quest, you won't be able to turn it in since Lady Brodens and the Herbalist will bug out and vanish.
