The Dragon Age: Origins Collector's Edition is the physical media's premium edition of the game Dragon Age: Origins that was available at $59.99 for the PC or $74.99 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It is available without extra cost for players who purchase the digital Collector's Edition. It is a limited edition release and may no longer be available in stores.

The premium edition's contents include the game and a bonus DVD, and is packaged in a metal tin or a wooden case. It also includes codes for downloadable content that grant players access to three exclusive in-game items. In addition, first hand owners of the game are also given access to other downloadable content - The Stone Prisoner and Blood Dragon Armor.

The Stone PrisonerEdit

The Stone Prisoner features an unlockable bonus quest and unlockable character, Shale. With The Stone Prisoner download pack, players will have access to Shale, the mighty stone golem who can become one of the most powerful party members in the game and who comes with her own personal back-story and unique quests. The Stone Prisoner will also include new environments, items and hours of additional gameplay, further deepening the epic Dragon Age experience. The Stone Prisoner is available to original purchasers of new copies of Dragon Age: Origins at no additional cost. The Stone Prisoner can also be purchased separately for US$15.

Blood Dragon ArmorEdit

The Blood Dragon Armor is an exclusive in-game item, for use in Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect 2. In the future, it would be imported into Dragon Age 2, but only if you imported a save with the Blood Dragon Armor in your inventory.

VariantsEdit

The UK version of the Collector's Edition does not feature the cloth map, and has no additional content as a replacement. It also comes in a normal DVD case with card slipcover rather than a tin case. This version is also exclusive to GAME stores

The Asian-Pacific version of the Collector's Edition comes with a Limited Edition Wooden Case instead of a tin case
