PromotionalEdit

Hindsight promotional image
Released: 8th March, 2011
Hindsight is a belt possessed of a strange, slow intellect. Whatever would have killed the wearer, does. At that very moment, the belt develops a resistance that would have saved them. No one knows how Thaulid managed this, and at this point, it would be difficult to ask him. When the belt is held in the light just so, the leather reveals a grisly catalogue, etched in glinting lyrium: "Thaulid Hammerspur, fire. Gorgut The Wizened, poison. Vil Arak, stabbed forty-three times. Haliath Baronet, witches."

Staff of Parthalan icon

Magic has always run strongly within the Hawke bloodline. The tales passed down from one generation to the next tell of an ancestor named Parthalan, a mage who long ago helped to unite Ferelden under the rule of King Calenhad. Parthalan eventually vanished into legend, fleeing the persecution of the Chantry, but his legacy remains in the hands of his family - along with his hope that one day, mages would achieve the freedom that King Calenhad intended to bring to all men.

Ring of Whispers icon
Released: March 8, 2011
"Listen, do you hear it? A soft swish, barely audible. No? Some hear it, some don't - well, not right away. But in the end, everyone does. It comes from this ring. 'Old as creation,' the Dalish I bought it from said. You can see the Circle's marks right here, barely. When I heard the sound the first night, I grabbed my sword and called out, 'Intruder!' But there was no one. Just the ring. Did some research after that. A mad Formari made it. It's powerful, to be sure. One scholar thought that if you could only make out the whispers, you'd learn... something. The ring was pried out of his hands, and he begged and pleaded that they return it. He claimed he could almost hear it, understand it. One thing's for certain: there's more to this ring than meets the eye."
- The last recorded words of Arl Theo Renly before his apparent suicide in South Foxlington

Amulet of Ashes
Released: 8th March, 2011 for Play.com, Best Buy and Brloh.sk pre-orders
Amulet Of Ashes is a ruined piece of charred wood hangs from its setting of half-melted gold. Holding it over an open flame, however, reveals its powers - in the flickering flames, the gold recedes into some former shape while the wood turns brown and reveals its grain.

Stats: Heavy fire resistance, adds to fire damage, adds to health regeneration

Fadeshear
Released: 8th March, 2011 for any pre-order
The core of this blade is old. As old as the first smiths who sought a way to battle the nightmares from the land beyond. It has fought the demonic hosts in countless battles. Sometimes it has been held high in triumphant victory. Other times, it has lain broken besides its dying owner. But after every defeat it has always been reclaimed, reforged, and made stronger. Fadeshear has passed through many hands before yours. Now it is your turn to make the demons of the Fade pay for crossing the Veil into the waking world.

The Fadeshear sword is a one-handed sword for Dragon Age II available when you pre-order from participating retailers.

Stats: Improves with each level-up, additional damage vs. demons and undead

The Irons
Released: 8th March, 2011 for EA Store pre-order
Adds to all elemental resistances, adds to health, adds to constitution. Fashioned from the black steel of Kirkwall's infamous iron foundries, miner's safety harnesses such as these have protected their hearty wearers since the day when the Tevinter Imperium last claimed the City of Chains.

The Irons belt is a pre-order bonus for Dragon Age II available from the EA Store. EA Store pre-orders also get both Lion of Orlais and Fadeshear in addition to this. All of these bonuses apply to both Signature and Regular Edition pre-orders. (Only for Xbox 360 or PC)

The Antivan Garrote
Released: 10th March, 2011 for BioWare Store orders
As legendary as these so-called 'Crows' are, why is it you keep finding their stuff for sale? Is it that they need the money? Sure, that's a fine assassin–needing to palm off his belt for poisons and what-not. The only other possibility is if someone knicked it off one of the dead buggers. So who wants to hire these awe-inspiring assassins? Either their britches keep falling down or they've got dozens of dead mates that keep keeling over. I grant you, this is a magnificent belt–best I've seen. But I'd downplay this whole Crow malarkey.

The Antivan Garrote belt is an exclusive item for Dragon Age II available from the BioWare Store for any orders. (Only for Xbox 360 or PC)

Stats: Adds to critical chance, adds to critical damage, adds immunity to flanking

LionShield
Released: 8th March, 2011 for any pre-order
At the height of the Summer War all of Orlais was embroiled in fierce battles. Over the course of the war dozens of contenders for the Imperial Throne emerged – most long forgotten except as footnotes in scholarly tomes. But everyone remembers the gallant young lord Emile Deveraux, "The Golden Prince". Though outnumbered at every turn, he racked victory upon victory culminating in the Seventh Battle of Roses. While wearing this shield he broke through his uncle’s vanguard to win the day. He never knew the taste of defeat, instead meeting his end at the hands of a jealous lover in the dead of night.

The Lion of Orlais shield is a pre-order bonus for Dragon Age II available from any participating retailers.

Stats: 2 Rune Slots, adds to health, adds to % XP gain

Ser Isaac's Armor
Released: 8th March, 2011
The chilling tales of Ser Isaac of Clarke are a favorite of bards performing in the wee hours of the night. In dank taverns throughout Thedas, these horror-filled stories captivate listeners and bring nightmares to those faint of heart.

This armor set is available to those who buy Dead Space 2 before March 31 2012. Exclusions apply, see here for details.

Air of Confidence
After averting a disaster at the Circle of Markham, Evra was given this ring by the First Enchanter. Though the Air of Confidence is not as eye-catching as his other famous ring, it is said that Evra always wore it, even when sleeping. The exact magical properties of the Air of Confidence are a subject of much speculation amongst minstrels.

It can be obtained by playing Dragon Age Legends. Complete the quest Secure Fort Elim.

Dura's Blue Flame
This weathered silver amulet has passed through many hands over the years. A deep blue sapphire almost glows in a certain light. Although time has faded its intricate engravings, the amulet has a certain majesty about it.

It can be obtained by playing Dragon Age Legends. Posted on DA: Legends Facebook Page: "So, my birthday’s coming up on March 25th, and I was planning on giving Dura’s Blue Flame to ALL Dragon Age Legends players on that day (and new players going forward) as a special celebration. But, I could be convinced to unlock Dura’s Flame earlier…"

Evra's Might
When Evra gained notoriety by defeating the Blood Sisters of Vehnstel, he was wearing his signature ring. Although the massive size of the solid gold ring attracts attention, it served a more practical purpose for Evra: he used it to punch demons in the face, sometimes felling them in a single blow.

It can be obtained by playing Dragon Age Legends. Learn how to build your castle in the tutorial.

Evra’s Trophy Belt
This grisly belt is filled with monstrous teeth, chipped blades, scraps of fur, and armor fragments. Each piece is said to be a trophy collected by Evra during his many adventures.

It can be obtained by playing Dragon Age Legends. Reach Freylen’s Peak and complete the quest Vantage Point.

Ivo Family Crest
Evolving over the years, the crest of House Ivo has become much more ornate than Paragon Ivo's original design. This ancient golden amulet bears the original crest. Though the engravings are simple, the stark lines are somehow deeply stirring.

It can be obtained by playing Dragon Age Legends. Defeat Raspin and complete the quest The Rascal Raspin.
