David Gaider lives in Edmonton, Alberta, and is a Senior Writer at BioWare's Edmonton studio, where he has worked since 1999. He is currently the Lead Writer on Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II, and is responsible for story and setting design. Prior to that, he worked on such titles as Baldur's Gate 2, Baldur's Gate 2: Throne of Bhaal, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and Neverwinter Nights (as well as its expansions).

Dragon Age: Origins Edit

He is responsible for writing Zevran, Alistair, Cailan, Morrigan, Shale,[1] and a large part of Duncan. David also created the Dalish and Human Noble Origin, and the Nature of the Beast and Redcliffe quest lines. [2]

Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening Edit

Gaider wrote Anders, Nathaniel, and Justice [3] in Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening.

Dragon Age II Edit

Gaider wrote Cassandra, Fenris, Orsino, and Meredith in Dragon Age II.

Other Works Edit

He penned the Dragon Age: Origins prequels, Dragon Age: The Stolen Throne and Dragon Age: The Calling, the recently released Dragon Age: Asunder, along with the comics Dragon Age: The Silent Grove and Dragon Age: Those Who Speak.
