- Random loot from slaver-related enemies and locations. It is known to be found during the quest A Bitter Pill in a complex locked chest outside the Holding Caves.

- This item is randomly generated in stores or containers upon entering the map where it is located, or upon defeating an enemy. Its attributes are scaled to Hawke's level.
- The stats are randomly selected from the following list:
- +(10 + 0.25 * LVL)% cold damage
- +(0.25 * DEF(LVL)) defense
- +5 mana/stamina regeneration rate
- This generic staff bears the same appearance as the unique staff of Marethari, the Torch of Falon'Din.
