Caravan Down is a quest received from the Chanter's Board in Redcliffe Village. The Chantry would like someone to investigate the fate of a caravan, and return with any news.
Walkthrough

After accepting the quest, a new location is added to the World Map. travel to the Caravan location, survive the ensuing fight against some Darkspawn (or avoid it if you can - apparently the quest simply requires you to investigate the remains of the caravan)although no exit exists while battling the darkspawn, and return to a Chantry representative for your reward.
Note: The World Map marker reads Caravan; however, once you arrive, the map name is Forest Meadow
