The Blood Dragon armor set is obtained with the Blood Dragon Armor downloadable content. To unlock it, you must have the Blood Dragon armor set in Dragon Age: Origins or Mass Effect 2. The set appearance is nearly identical (although graphically improved) to the one in Origins. Due to the relatively low strength and constitution requirements it can be used early in the game. It is, however, considerably less powerful than in Origins. Unlike the Origins set, it does not confer any item set bonuses when all pieces are equipped, except when worn by a mage.

Despite having Strength and Constitution requirements, this armor set only confers a bonus when the complete set is worn by a mage. Like Spiral Eye armor set, it adds +1 magic and +20 mana.
