Armor of the Divine Will is a massive chestpiece in Dragon Age: Origins.
Acquisition
Sold by Ruck in Ortan Thaig for 57.
Notes
- The armor can be used in place of the Effort main piece from the Effort armor set. If used in place of Effort, you will still receive the Effort set bonus so long as you still equip the other Effort equipment with it (Duty, Effort's Gloves and Effort's Boots). The downside is that this armor's -5 to magic will lower the user's general mental resistance, but equipping the Shield of the Legion will counter the resistance portion of the penalty.
- In earlier game versions, this armor possessed the property "Chance to ignore hostile magic." In 1.02a, this armor now possesses the more descriptive "+20% spell resistance" attribute in addition to its penalty to the magic attribute. Note also that spell resistance only affects hostile magic - spells cast by party members are not affected by spell resistance.
