New Specializations for DA2

Does anybody know what specializations are there going to be in DA2 for Hawke to take. I know of Blood Mage And Force Mage just wondering if anybody else seen or read of any others and possibly what force Mage abilities are along with the others. Colonel Ketchup (talk) 12:18, February 7, 2011 (UTC)
Isn't Isabela a Swashbuckler? And possibly a Duelist? Gruedragon (talk) 14:19, February 7, 2011 (UTC)
Each companion if I remember correctly has their own unique spec which can be seen as a personalised form of their specilisation of preference. It is true, Isabela has the Swashbuckler spec, unique to her, which is her unique style of dueling. The rogue specialisations will be Duelist, Assassin and Shadow. The mage specs are Blood Mage, Force Mage and Spirit Healer. The warrior specialisations are yet to be released. The specifics of each specialisation are also yet to be revealed. Wouldn't surprise me if they dropped the Champion, Reaver and Spirit Warrior specs, instead combining elements of them with the Templar, Berserker and introduce a new specialisation, which more than likely could be a sort of tanking spec. --Madasamadthing (talk) 20:18, February 7, 2011 (UTC)
- I actually hope they don't drop the Champion Specialization, I rather liked being able to run into the middle of a pack of darkspawn and war cry just to see them all fly back 10 feet. I do wish there were more than 4 abilities in each Specialization however, I'd rather have just 1 specializations with 8 - 12 abilities in it, than 2 or 3 specializations with 4 each. - They might, Champion is a specialisation suited best for tanks, with the enemy debuff and party buff, so it could be fitted in with a dedicated tanking spec, the same way that elements of the Templar and Spirit Warrior can be combined. --Madasamadthing (talk) 22:11, February 7, 2011 (UTC)
(Spoilers) I also thing that Merrill's specs are Dalish Pariah, whatever that is, and blood mage? I think. DalishousFoot (talk) 20:21, February 7, 2011 (UTC)
My guesses for warrior would be templar, bezerker and champion. I'm also guessing that if this is the case, Aveline will have a unique variation of Champion, and Fenris a variation of bezerker. However Aveline could have a Templar variation instead with Carver being the one with the Champion spec. Of course this is all speculation and I could be very very wrong. It seems that in the preview, spirit warriors make a return in Fenris at [01:00] through the preview. Here is the link for the preview at gametrailers.com [1]
If you check out the IGN preview on youtube at 2:03 one seems to be called BattleMaster one could be Defender(or it could just be skills to increase the damage you can take)
I hope Spirit Warrior does return I loved that specialization!! (DDragonfly1990 (talk) 20:41, February 8, 2011 (UTC))
One of the videos released today, don't ask me which one there's been to many, it showed warriors to have the Templar and Reaver specs. As such one more spec is to be announced or revealed, I'm guessing Champion or Spirit Warrior. Spirit Warriror could make sense as Fenris'spec, as could Reaver. Thanks all i seen the warrior specs and i am disappointed the champion did not stay hopefully with added dlc it will come back because i prefer Sword and Board warriors and champion was a good spec for that. Colonel Ketchup (talk) 01:27, February 10, 2011 (UTC)
I've taken a look at several screenshots and videos that show the warrior talent webs since I've been concerned about champion being gone as well, and from what I could gather it looks like champion is a basic part of warrior talents now instead of a dedicated specialization. On the Dragon Age website they have the specs for the warrior, and the three specialization's are Reaver, Berserker, and TemplarMarek Tabris (talk) 02:14, February 10, 2011 (UTC)Marek Tabris
Here is one of the screenshots I was talking about. It appears as though Champion abilities have been folded into warrior basics under "Battlemaster" Warden-Commander Michael Cousland 02:27, February 10, 2011 (UTC)
Cool thanks michael i still wish it was dedicated spec though Reaver and Berserker dont interest me much of course ill take templar for my Hawke in my first play through but on the fence on the other two which i should take for Sword and Board warrior have to see the abilities for Reaver and Berserker to make my final decision on my 2nd spec Colonel Ketchup (talk) 12:21, February 10, 2011 (UTC)
No problem, my friend. At any rate, it just means we won't have to wait til 7th level to get those sweet Champion-like talents. I'm hoping the mage specs turn out to be fun and interesting though, because from the looks of things most of my Hawkes are going to be mages. Warden-Commander Michael Cousland 12:53, February 10, 2011 (UTC)
Yeah that's true but ill stick with warriors that is more my style any way ill still play a mage and rouge at one point but most of my Hawkes will be warriors Colonel Ketchup (talk) 16:05, February 10, 2011 (UTC)
Doesn't anyone else think that being a Templar would be strange for Hawke I mean his/her sister is an "Apostate" mage.
- Tbh that is probably something they have considered. If a warrior Hawke becomes a Templar then Bethany might dissaprove and it could strain their relationship. Also if you build up your rivalry with Carver and make him a Templar he may try and use his abilties against you or he could run off and join the Templars in Kirkwall. After all Aveline joins the guards at some point if I'm not mistaken. (DDragonfly1990 (talk) 19:06, February 10, 2011 (UTC))
- I doubt being a templar would matter.. it's not as if the specialization denotes you are part of that organization just that you have learned those skills.. Alister was a templar yet did nothing to any of the apostates (didn't even acknowledge that the keepers were ones), Morrigan was an apostate yet you could bring her to the Magi tower and they didn't care (less you have the restoration mod)and your character could become a templar yet didn't care about them either Budweiser115 (talk) 13:19, February 11, 2011 (UTC)
- Yes but my point was that they may plan to change that. :P If you're a Templar Ser Otto will make mention of it... this is very, very minor though. (DDragonfly1990 (talk) 13:20, February 11, 2011 (UTC))
- maybe.. it would be nice.. In DA they mostly ignored what specializations you had.. like I took a blood mage warden to the Circle's Tower..they not only never said anything about it but still trusted me to take care of the other blood mages.. it kind of hurt the immersion to hear the lines about the other blood mages while they ignored the fact I was oneBudweiser115 (talk) 13:30, February 11, 2011 (UTC)
